Similan islands liveaboard boat Manta Queen 2

Did you do Similan Island liveaboard diving before? Then this Thailand live aboard trip is such an amazing offer that you want to make space in your holiday schedule even if it is fully planned already!

The Richelieu Rock diving liveaboard gives you 11 dives at world class dive sites: Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, Boonsung wreck and Thailand's best dive site Richelieu Rock.

These northern dive sites of the Andaman Sea, especially Richelieu Rock, are very good places to meet the amazing manta rays or whale sharks. It’s also heaven for the lovers of the tiny critters like sea horses, shrimps and nudibranchs. . .  there are so many to discover that you barely know where to look first.

3 days and 3 nights you will be cruising between Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock, enjoying the best South Thailand liveaboard diving and the tropical landscape of the beautiful Islands of Koh Tachai and Koh Bon.

There are dive sides for every level what makes this Thailand liveaboard trip suitable for novice divers . . . but the diving there is so exciting that advanced divers will not get bored either. Bring your underwater camera and make sure to have ample batteries (or a charger) and big memory cards with you.

You are diving in  small groups on this trip: 1 professional dive guide takes maximum 5 divers with him or her. Your certification level and diving experience determine which dive group you will join.

Now, what to expect from this special Similan Island liveaboard tour?

You will be picked up in the afternoon if you stay in Phuket or in the early evening should you stay in Khao Lak. The check-in lounge is located in the Khao Lak dive center. The transfer to the pier happens around 8 pm, so by 8:30 pm there will be a general boat briefing, followed by the allocation of the cabins, the equipment setup and dinner before the live aboard starts cruising towards Koh Bon.

On day 1 you awake early in a stunning surrounding and the first two dives will be at Koh Bon West Ridge. While you enjoy your lunch, the Thailand Liveaboard will take you north to the island Koh Tachai, where you will have your afternoon and the sunset dive.

There is plenty of space on this Similan Island liveaboard boat to relax and enjoy the time between the dives: On top of the liveaboard you’ll find the large sundeck, where you can get tanned in the sun but there are also shaded areas, if you prefer to stay cool. You also can hang out in the open dining area or in the salon with HD-TV to watch some videos made during the dives.

Your early morning dive on day 2 happens again around Koh Tachai and for the remaining 3 dives M/V Manta Queen 2 will take you further north to the legendary Richelieu Rock.

Day 3 brings 2 more dives at Koh Bon before the boat headed south for the very last dive of this marvelous Northern Andaman Sea diving trip at the Boonsung wreck, which is located quite close to the pier, so you will arrive at the dive center in Khao Lak in the afternoon.

M/V Manta Queen 2 is 24 meters long and 5 meters wide, manned with 6 boat crew members and 5 international dive staff and and accommodates 20 guests in comfortable air conditioned cabins.

All meals onboard are freshly cooked and served in buffet style. You have the choice between tasty Thai cuisine and a variety of Western dishes during your cruise, vegetarian and vegan meals are also available and the use of Monosodium Glutamate is banned on all Manta Queen boats. Please let the staff during your check-in know if you are allergic to nuts or other food ingredients!

Between the dives fruits and snacks are served and you can take tea, coffee and drinking water at all times.
